About Joy:

Joy grew up in Bickington and has lived in the area for most of her life. She was employed by both the NHS and Devon County Council Youth Service. The cuts to these services were her motivation for standing as a local councillor.

She is also a Fremington Parish Councillor and a member of the Parish Parks and Playing Fields Committee.

Joy spent 35 years as a member of St John Ambulance and now voluntarily works with young people in the community.
